CURRICULUM
The required curriculum for the Driver’s Ed program consists of the following:
1) 30 hours of classroom
2) 12 hours of behind the wheel
3) 6 hours of observation
4) 2 hours of Parent/Guardian class
These classes are generally organized into modules covering essential topics designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain a driver’s license and become responsible, defensive drivers.
Each student is required to complete 15 classroom sessions, with each session lasting 2 hours, for a total of 30 classroom hours. In addition, students must complete 12 hours of on-road instruction conducted by a certified driver education instructor, as well as 6 hours of driving observation.
The program also includes a mandatory 2-hour Parent/Guardian class.
